Asia session, LPA
Supervised by Dr. Apree Clicque, Psychologist and LCDC
Asia Session is a Licensed Psychological Associate with over 10 years of experience serving children, adolescents, and families in public school systems across Washington, Texas, and New York. She has worked as both a school psychologist and mental health supervisor, supporting students, guiding families, and training clinicians and school staff in evidence-based practices. She received her Master of Education in School Psychology from Columbia University and her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington.
Her experience includes psychoeducational assessment, behavioral intervention, trauma-informed care, and professional development on a range of mental health topics. Asia specializes in supporting children and teens navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum differences, learning challenges, mood concerns, and behavioral difficulties.
Asia takes a collaborative, structured, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Asia is also trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Trauma-Informed Care.
Sessions are developmentally tailored, individualized, and goal-oriented. With younger children, therapy may include skill-building activities and parent involvement. With adolescents, sessions may focus on emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, identity development, and practical coping strategies.
Asia believes mental wellness is foundational to lifelong success. Drawing on over a decade of experience in school systems across multiple states, she understands how emotional well-being, identity, and academic success intersect. She brings an assessment-informed lens to therapy and partners with families to gain clarity about their child’s strengths and needs, reinforce social relationships, build resilience, and cultivate skills that extend well beyond the therapy room.
Her work is grounded in cultural humility, whole-child care, and empowering families with practical tools that create sustainable change. As a minority clinician serving diverse communities for most of her career, Asia is dedicated to fostering environments where children feel safe, affirmed, and capable of thriving.
