Ayah Ifteiha, LPA
Supervised by Dr. Apree Clicque, Psychologist and LCDC
Ayah Ifteiha, a Licensed Psychological Associate, brings a collaborative and culturally informed approach to therapy, drawing from her diverse background and specialized training. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from UT Tyler.
With valuable experience at Brain Balance, Ayah has developed expertise in supporting the neurodivergent community and individuals with learning disabilities, as well as helping clients navigate the challenges of life transitions during young adulthood. She specializes in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Through IFS, she helps clients understand and heal the different “parts” of themselves, fostering greater self-compassion and internal balance. Using ACT, she supports clients in developing psychological flexibility, clarifying values, and building skills to respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and emotions. Through ERP, she provides structured, evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders, helping clients gradually face feared situations while reducing compulsive behaviors and avoidance patterns.
She is passionate about working with adults facing OCD, anxiety disorders, grief, depression, trauma, and body-focused repetitive behaviors such as trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and skin-picking. She integrates habit reversal training and other empirically supported interventions to promote meaningful and lasting change.
As a trauma-informed clinician trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, Ayah provides a safe, empowering, and compassionate space where healing can take place at the client’s pace. Her person-centered style emphasizes collaboration, ensuring that each client’s unique experiences and goals guide their therapeutic journey.
Drawing from her Palestinian American heritage, Ayah is deeply committed to making therapy accessible and welcoming to individuals from all backgrounds, particularly those who may feel uncertain or hesitant about seeking mental health support. She integrates cultural humility and inclusivity into her work, helping clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
