Lori Fields is a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student completing her clinical training under the supervision of Dr. Chelsea Apree Clicque at Dallas Therapeutic Services. She works with children, adolescents, and adults ages 4 and older and brings a warm, collaborative, and structured approach to therapy.

Lori believes that understanding where our patterns come from can be an important part of changing where we go next. Her approach focuses on creating an emotionally safe and supportive environment where clients can feel genuinely understood while also being challenged to develop insight, build practical skills, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Lori incorporates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with trauma-informed care. She is also trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach designed to support individuals whose experiences may have affected trust, connection, emotional regulation, and relationships. She adapts the amount of structure and direction she provides based on each client's needs, readiness, and goals and may incorporate psychoeducation, practical skill-building, and between-session practice when helpful.

Her clinical interests include trauma and adverse childhood experiences, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, codependency and relationship patterns, recovery and addiction-related concerns, emotional regulation and distress tolerance, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ populations, and occupational stress, burnout, and resilience.

Before entering the field of clinical psychology, Lori built an extensive professional background in organizational consulting, where her work centered on assessment, consultation, relationship management, problem-solving, and facilitating change within complex systems. She also has eight years of experience serving as a Celebrate Recovery leader, facilitating 12-step studies and small groups. These experiences have strengthened her ability to listen carefully, build trust, recognize complex patterns, maintain appropriate boundaries, and support individuals navigating significant life changes.

Lori is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University, where she also serves as a Graduate Assistant. She earned her Master of Arts in Organizational Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. She is also a Diplomate of the American Institute of Stress.

At the center of Lori's work is the belief that the experiences and patterns that have shaped a person do not have to determine their future. She strives to help clients understand what lies beneath the presenting problem, strengthen their relationship with themselves and others, and develop the insight and practical tools needed to move toward lasting change.
