Wade Christian Peterson, who goes by Christian, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Midwestern State University. He is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level II (CCTP-II), bringing advanced training in complex trauma treatment to his work.
Christian specializes in working with adults carrying the weight of childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and interpersonal struggles. His practice particularly supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and various forms of addiction—including often overlooked challenges such as sex, pornography, gambling, and food addiction. He views these concerns not simply as problems, but as adaptive responses the nervous system once relied on for survival.
His therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, and deeply client-centered. Christian draws from attachment-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, always prioritizing meeting clients exactly where they are. He believes healing is not one-size-fits-all and emphasizes understanding each person’s story within their unique life context and cultural framework. Together with clients, he works to uncover the root causes beneath symptoms, identify protective patterns, and gently build capacity for change. His goal is to help individuals experience increased wholeness and deeper self-connection rather than focusing solely on “fixing” problems.
Outside the therapy room, Christian is committed to lifelong learning through continued professional education, reading, and podcast engagement. He maintains balance through his love of landscape gardening, outdoor activities, and exploring concerts, local events, and travel opportunities.
