Laura Alfonso Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Bachelor of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and my Master of Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary. She has worked in numerous settings, including a children’s advocacy center, a partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient program, and private practice and has experience with play therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy. Laura is bilingual and able to offer sessions in Spanish or English. As a Cuban-American, she has additional familiarity with multicultural contexts and Hispanic culture.
Laura is passionate about helping clients express feelings, adopt helpful thought patterns, and achieve meaningful change. She takes a holistic view of counseling, and her approach is responsive toward the unique needs and strengths of every client. Issues with mental health can make life feel small and limited. She wants to partner with you to build a big life, filled with the opportunities and experiences that matter most to you.
